• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup strawberry preserves (or fresh diced strawberries)

For the Sandwiches:

• 8 slices of white or brioche bread
• 1 large egg
• 1/4 cup milk
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for dusting)
• Vegetable oil, for frying
