Wendy’s Copycat Chili

Step 1. Place a large Dutch oven on the stove over medium high heat

Step 2. Crumble the ground beef into the Dutch oven

Step 3. Add in the bell pepper, onion, celery, jalapeno pepper, pinto beans, kidney beans and stir to combine

Step 4. Add in the tomatoes, the Tomato Sauce

Step 5. Sprinkle in each of the spices and stir well to combine it all together

Step 6. Bring to a boil, then immediately lower the heat

Step 7. Simmer for 2 hours with the cover on.

Step 8. Serve hot with choice of toppings.

This is the true copycat recipe to make Wendy’s Famous Chili. This Chili is super flavorful, hearty and savory.

Ingredients

  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • ½ cup Celery, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
  • 2 pounds Ground Beef, lean
  • 1 large can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 small can Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 cans Kidney Beans, undrained
  • 2 cans pinto beans, undrained
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 3 tsp Cumin
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
