Season the Shrimp:
In a bowl, toss the shrimp with the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Cook the Sausage:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Stir in the chopped cabbage and continue cooking until the cabbage is tender and slightly browned, about 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook the Shrimp:
Push the cabbage to one side of the skillet and add the seasoned shrimp to the other side.
Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
Combine and Serve:
Return the browned sausage to the skillet and stir everything together.
If using, drizzle the soy sauce over the mixture and toss to coat.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Enjoy:
Serve the shrimp, sausage, and cabbage mixture hot. This dish is perfect on its own or with a side of rice or crusty bread.
