Southern Cherry Cobbler Bars

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.

Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture and cut it in with a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and vanilla extract.

Add this mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.

Press half of the dough mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish to form the base.

Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the base layer.

In a separate bowl, mix the almond flour and oats with the remaining dough mixture.

Crumble the remaining dough mixture over the cherry filling.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
