Directions
Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray for easy cleanup.
Dump the crushed pineapple (juice and all) into the bottom of the slow cooker.
Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the top of the pineapple.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, doing your best to cover as much as possible.
Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon (if using) evenly over the top.
Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-5 hours. The top should be golden brown and bubbly.
Let it cool slightly before serving to let it set a bit.
Variations & Tips
For an extra burst of flavor, you could mix in a can of cherry pie filling with the pineapple for a pineapple-cherry dump cake. If you’re feeling a bit more indulgent, add a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts on top before cooking for a nice crunch. You can also experiment with different cake mix flavors like white or pineapple cake mix for a slightly different taste.
