Slow Cooker Amish Mac & Cheese
Directions
Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Add the uncooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese to the slow cooker.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, evaporated milk, melted butter, beaten eggs, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Pour the milk mixture over the macaroni and cheese in the slow cooker, stirring gently to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, or until the macaroni is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Stir the mac and cheese before serving to ensure everything is well combined.
Variations & Tips
For a bit of a kick, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or some chopped jalapeños. You can also mix in cooked bacon bits or diced ham for a heartier version. If you prefer a crusty top, transfer the cooked mac and cheese to a baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and broil for a few minutes until golden brown. For a different cheese flavor, experiment with adding some Gruyère or Parmesan to the mix.
