From the table:
- Place the eggs, sugar, oil, cocoa powder and hot water in a blender. Blend well until the mixture is uniform.
- Pour the mixture from the blender into a bowl and add the sifted flour, baking powder and cornstarch. Mix thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into a greased and floured mould (20cm x 30cm) and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 to 40 minutes.
To make the syrup:
- In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except granulated chocolate.
- Place over medium heat and stir constantly until it begins to boil.
- When it starts to boil, reduce the heat and continue mixing for 2 more minutes.
- Turn off the heat and set aside.
To make the topping:
- In a saucepan, combine all the topping ingredients.
- Place over medium heat and stir constantly until it begins to boil.
- After boiling, wait one minute and continue mixing without stopping.
- Turn off the heat and set aside.
Assembly:
- Cut the cake into portions while it is still in the pan.
- Pour the still hot melted chocolate over the cake to moisten it well.
- Add the topping, spread it well and add granulated chocolate on top.
And that’s it! Your chocolate cake is ready to be served, either hot or cold.
