My grandma passed down this recipe, and we continue to make this on the regular. It’ll be our fourth time this month!

 

Ingredients:

– 4 cups of cubed, one-inch-thick bread that is at least one day old

2-3/4″ of milk

– Two big eggs

– 1/2 cup sugar (granulated) – 3 teaspoons vanilla extract (extract) – 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

ground nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon

1/4 cup of melted butter

– 1/3 cup of raisins, if desired

How to Make Vanilla Sauce:

– Half a cup of full-fat milk

two and a half cups of sugar and butter

Two tablespoons of vanilla essence and half a cup of brown sugar
