Ingredients For meatloaf with a tomato beef sauce
MEATLOAF
2 lb chopped meat
4 eggs
1 lg onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2/3 c oatmeal
1 c Italian bread crumbs
1 c finely shredded carrots
1 c finely shredded celery
6 Tbsp ketchup
SAUCE
1/3 c ketchup
1 can beef consomme soup (10.5 oz)
1/2 tsp dried basil
1 Tbsp corn starch
several drops of Frank’s red hot sauce or Tabasco hot sauce (optional).
