Italian Sub Squares

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare the Dough:

  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a greased 9×13-inch baking pan. Press it into the bottom and up the sides of the pan.

3. Layer the Ingredients:

  • Start layering the fillings on top of the dough:
    • Begin with the salami and ham.
    • Add the provolone cheese.
    • Layer on the roasted red peppers, spinach, and black olives (if using).
    • Drizzle the Italian dressing evenly over the layers.

4. Add Top Layer:

  • Roll out another portion of pizza dough to cover the top. Press the edges to seal it with the bottom dough.

5. Season and Bake:

  • Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese (if using).
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

6. Cool and Slice:

  • Allow the sub squares to cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing into squares.

7. Serve:

  • Serve warm or at room temperature. These are great as-is or with a side of marinara sauce for dipping!
