Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, BBQ sauce, honey, and eggs until well combined.
Add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the mixture, and blend thoroughly.
Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
Spread a thin layer of extra BBQ sauce on top of the loaf for added flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the top is nicely caramelized.
Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Variations & Tips
For picky eaters, you can substitute the chopped onion with onion powder to avoid the texture of the onions. If you prefer a leaner option, ground turkey can be used instead of ground beef. For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of smoked paprika or a dash of hot sauce. You can also customize the BBQ sauce to your preference by using a smoky, sweet, or spicy variety.
