Fluffy dumplings

Recipe Ingredients:

  • ½ C. Whole milk
  • 2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornmeal
  • 2 C. Chopped onions
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar, Granulated
  • ½ C. All-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

We’ll start by putting all the ingredients, except the oil, in a bowl and mixing everything together.

Then, in a deep-frying pan, heat ½ -1 inch of oil over medium-high heat on the stove.

Then, once the oil has reached a temperature of around 175 degrees, pour the batter into the pan by the tablespoonful, spreading it out a little.

Finally, before removing them to drain on a rack lined with absorbent paper, brown the dumplings on one side, turn them over and brown them on the other.

Now, if you prefer, serve them with sour cream or a sauce of your choice.
