Method:
- In a blender, combine chopped onion, tomato sauce or tomatoes, spices, olive oil, garlic, and remaining marinade ingredients.
- Blend until smooth, adding 1/4 cup water if needed to achieve a smooth sauce consistency.
- Add chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least an hour, or longer if time permits.
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Place wings on a baking tray with the marinade and bake until golden brown, approximately 35-40 minutes.
