Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. This will help the wings get crispy all around.
- Prepare the Wings:
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. The drier they are, the crispier they’ll get.
- Season the Wings:
- In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Add the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Arrange on the Rack:
- Place the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Make sure they are not touching to allow for even cooking.
- Bake:
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy.
- Optional Final Crisp:
- If you want extra crispiness, you can broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end. Just watch them closely to avoid burning!
- Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like buffalo sauce, ranch, or blue cheese dressing.
Tips
- For extra flavor, you can marinate the wings in your favorite sauce (like buffalo or teriyaki) for a few hours before baking.
- Feel free to experiment with different spices to customize the flavor!
Enjoy your crispy chicken wings!
