Instructions:
In a small saucepan, add the milk and heat over medium until it reaches a boil. Turn off the heat and set aside.
In a separate saucepan, add the sugar and heat over low, stirring constantly, until it turns into a smooth, glossy caramel.
Gradually add the hot milk to the caramel, stirring after each addition to fully dissolve the sugar and create a smooth, homogeneous mixture.
Dissolve the cornstarch in a bit of milk and add it to the saucepan. Stir well and continue to cook until the mixture begins to boil and thickens.
Cook until you can see the bottom of the pan while stirring. Remove from heat, allow it to cool, and it’s ready to serve.
