Biscuits and Chocolate Gravy

▢1/2 cup butter
▢1/4 cup cocoa powder
▢1/4 cup all-purpose flour
▢1/2 cup white sugar
▢2 cups whole milk
▢1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
▢pinch of salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Melt the butter in a medium sauce pan. Whisk in the cocoa powder and flour until well combined and bubbly from the heat.
Whisk in the sugar until well combined.
Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly. Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture has thickened into a gravy.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.
Spoon over freshly baked biscuits.
