American Apple Pie

Instructions:

Start by peeling the apples, removing the seeds and core, and cutting them into small cubes.

Then, heat the butter in a skillet and add ⅓ cup (90 g) of sugar, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.

Next, add the apple pieces to the skillet and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until they are nicely caramelized. Set aside.

After that, in a bowl, beat the eggs with the remaining sugar (about ½ cup or 120 g) using a whisk.

Now, sift the flour and baking powder over the egg mixture. Add the milk and mix until the batter is smooth. Fold in the caramelized apples.

Then, grease a baking pan with butter and line the bottom with parchment paper. Pour in the batter and spread it evenly.

Finally, bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) for about 35 minutes, or until the cake is firm and golden.

After removing from the oven, if desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
