Braised Fish Recipe
Ingredients:
– 1 lb fish fillets (firm white fish like sea bass, cod or snapper work well), cut into serving pieces
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon rice wine (Shaoxing wine is traditional)
– 1 tablespoon brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
– 3-4 cloves garlic, smashed
– 2 scallions, thinly sliced (white and green parts separated)
– 1/4 cup water or broth
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
