Small tips to help preserve ginger easily, use all year round without worrying about it drying out or spoiling!

 

Ginger is an indispensable spice in every family’s kitchen, yet preserving it is a challenge. In order to avoid spoiling ginger when buying in large quantities, apply some of the following preservation tips.

Method 1: Use plastic wrap

First, wash the ginger under running water and soak it in a diluted salt water solution for about 15 minutes. This will both help to remove bacteria and prevent the ginger from sprouting.

After the ginger is completely dried, wrap it with plastic wrap. So as to increase the preservation effect, you can wrap it in multiple layers and place the ginger in a dry, airy place.

Rinse the ginger under running water and soak it in a diluted salt water solution for about 15 minutes.

Method 2: Preserve with pepper
