Vegan Apple Crumble
Ingredients
For the Filling:
- 6-7 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well), peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder (for thickening)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Crumble Topping:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegan butter (cold, cut into small pieces)
